Dr. Emily Goeller
Board-Certified Dermatologist
Passionate About Patient Education
Dr. Emily Goeller, MD is a board-certified dermatologist and proud St. Louis native with deep roots in the community. She grew up in South County, attending Assumption grade school and Cor Jesu Academy, before heading to Truman State University, where she met her husband. Together, they attended medical school at the University of Missouri-Columbia and stayed for dermatology residency-cheering on the Tigers through every season. All three of their daughters were born in Columbia, making Mizzou an even more special place for their family.
Dr. Goeller continues to stay connected to Mizzou as a faculty member in the Department of Dermatology, working with residents and giving back to the program that helped shape her career. She now lives in Kirkwood, where she and her family are actively involved in the community—from coaching youth soccer teams to cheering on STL City SC and the Cardinals.
Outside the office, Dr. Goeller loves staying active—whether it’s running, yoga, lifting, or skiing with her family in Breckenridge. She’s passionate about making dermatologic care approachable, efficient, and family-friendly for the St. Louis community she’s proud to call home.
Dr. Amy Ney

Advocate for Preventative Skin Health
Dr. Amy Ney, MD is a board-certified dermatologist who has provided expert medical and cosmetic skin care to families in the St. Louis area for over 20 years. Originally from the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, she brings both a love of nature and a passion for lifelong patient care to her work-the inspiration behind Vista Dermatology.
Dr. Ney graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Mary Washington, earned her medical degree from the University of Virginia (where she met her husband and was inducted into the AOA honor society), and completed her dermatology residency as Chief Resident at Brown University.
After moving to St. Louis, she practiced for two decades at St. Luke’s Hospital, taught as a clinical instructor at Washington University, and became a valued part of the local dermatology community. Dr. Ney is passionate about caring for patients through every stage of life and is proud to continue doing so at Vista Dermatology—a warm, welcoming practice she’s excited to share with the families of St. Louis.
Outside of work, you’ll find her enjoying the outdoors, hiking, running in Forest Park, walking her dogs (always sun-protected!), and spending time with her family. While she didn’t attend high school in St. Louis, all three of her kids did!
Dr. Trisha Scharff

Dr. Trisha Scharff, MD MPHS is a board-certified dermatologist providing expert medical and cosmetic dermatology services in St. Louis, MO.
A proud St. Louis native and John Burroughs alum, Dr. Scharff graduated Summa Cum Laude with Phi Beta Kappa honors from Northwestern University. She earned her medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine, where she received multiple awards for outstanding dermatology research and performance, including the Yalem Prize and Robert Carter Award. She also completed a Master’s in Population Health Sciences, with a focus on translating medical research into practical, evidence-based care.
Dr. Scharff completed her dermatology residency at Washington University, serving as Chief Resident. She has presented at both regional and international conferences and has published multiple peer-reviewed articles. She has served as a reviewer for dermatology journals and is a contributing author to two dermatology textbooks.
Outside the clinic, she enjoys baking, photography, and exploring the outdoors with her husband, son, and energetic mini poodle. She is especially proud to serve the St. Louis community she has always called home—where she and her husband first met in high school!
Dr. Scharff is passionate about providing multigenerational skin care to the entire family, from effective acne solutions to comprehensive skin cancer screenings. Her results-driven, evidence-based approach ensures that each family member receives personalized care that fits into their busy lives.
DR. GINA BOWERS
Board-Certified Dermatologist
Dedicated to Early Skin Cancer Detection
Dr. Gina Bowers is a board-certified dermatologist dedicated to providing high-quality medical
dermatology care to the St. Louis community. A native of the area, Dr. Bowers returned home to
complete her specialty training, eventually establishing a long-standing career in private
practice that spans nearly two decades.
After graduating Magna Cum Laude with Phi Beta Kappa honors from the University of
Missouri-Columbia, Dr. Bowers also went on to earn her medical degree from Mizzou. Her
academic excellence was recognized with Magna Cum Laude honors and induction into the
prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed her dermatology
residency at Washington University School of Medicine.
Dr. Bowers has been a trusted voice in dermatology private practice since 2007. Her clinical
expertise is broad, encompassing comprehensive skin cancer surveillance and dermatologic
care for both adult and pediatric patients.
When she is away from the office, Dr. Bowers prioritizes time with her family and their two dogs.
She can often be found on the golf course, kayaking, or exploring local trails on a long hike.
Having spent her life and career in Missouri, she is deeply committed to ensuring her neighbors
receive the highest standard of evidence-based dermatologic care.
Dr. Shar Alamdari
Board-Certified Dermatologist
Dedicated to Early Skin Cancer Detection
Dr. Shar Alamdari, MD is a board-certified dermatologist offering expert medical and surgical dermatology services in St. Louis, MO.
Originally from Los Angeles, CA, Dr. Alamdari earned his medical degree from UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine, where he was recognized for his academic excellence and commitment to patient care. Dr. Alamdari moved to Missouri for his dermatology residency at the University of Missouri–Columbia, where he gained extensive experience diagnosing and treating a wide range of skin conditions. It was during this time that he developed a strong appreciation for the Midwest—and met his wife, a St. Louis native.
Dr. Alamdari spent nearly a decade practicing and teaching residents at the Kaiser Permanente Dermatology Program in Los Angeles before returning to Missouri.
Outside the practice, Dr. Alamdari enjoys family walks at Queeny Park with his wife and two children, afternoons at the St. Louis Zoo, and visiting local museums. He is proud to serve the St. Louis community, where he and his family have built their home.
Dr. Alamdari is committed to staying at the forefront of dermatologic advancements, with a special focus on early skin cancer detection and treatment. He provides individualized, evidence-based care tailored to each patient’s needs.
URGENT CARE CLINIC
We are pleased to have Dr. Shar Alamdari assisting our team through the summer. He is available in our Urgent Care Clinic on Fridays to ensure our patients continue to receive timely, high-quality care during this transition period. Dr. Alamdari will be with us until early August, at which point we look forward to introducing our long-term Friday physician, Dr. Gina Bowers!
